“Hey Diddle Diddle… Cow jumps over???”

Remember that nursery rhyme Hey Diddle Diddle?

Hey diddle diddle,
The Cat and the fiddle,
The Cow jumped over the moon,…

Well I was surfing the internet and stumbled into this site named Wierduniverse.net and I saw this picture.  Oh boy… even if this cow didn’t jump over the moon I think this cow deserves some recognition right? Take note the name of this cow is Luna (goddess of the moon???).  She’s definitely a “Cowgirl”.

Lionfish’s New Natural Predator

This is an interesting twist in the cycle of life under the see.  I have been a salt water aquarium owner for about 2 years now and I’ve always wanted to own a Lionfish but it is a bit expensive.  I know that these fishes have a very limited to no natural predators and that is why they thrive.  I saw this article in NatGeo and read that in the Honduras local dive masters who are familiar with the sharks decided to try to turn them on to eating invasive lionfish.

As for a Natural Predator if these fish weren’t spiky we as humans probably could be one of them.  Who knows maybe there could be some of us that eats them and it’s just not published.  Maybe in Japan they can come up with a sushi for this fish.  I will search for this and update you when I find a topic regarding lionfish as food for us.

Cher… MTV Music awards

I was watching the MTV music awards last night and saw Cher…  what is she thinking of ?  I don’t know about you guys but as far as I know she’s in her 60’s now,  she should at least wear something daring that we haven’t seen before or tone it down a bit.  In my honest opinion she should age gracefully be starting to wear something more appropriate her age.  But then again did someone see the dress that lady Gaga was wearing… it was made out of meat. (hmm steak anyone?)

The World’s Largest Natural Mirror

Imagine a nearly perfect mirror surface spread across the Earth stretching out miles in every direction. Sounds like something right out of Alice’s Wonderland but Salar de Uyuni is very very real. When covered with a thin sheet of water, this 4,000+ square-mile salt flat creates a stunning reflection of everything above it.

Over 40,000 years ago this part of Bolivia was a prehistoric lake. Today, the area is home to a smattering of flamingos, some tourist hotels (including a salt hotel) and and an estimated 10 billion tons of salt. Just imagine getting lost in this surrealistic environment! More below and at Neatorama, Sarifb and Fogonazos
